How Does Restorative Justice Work?

Restorative Justice works by placing the people who are directly involved or otherwise impacted at its heart. When safe and appropriate, all those involved meet face-to-face to discuss the conflict or crime, its impacts, and what should be done to repair the harm. Participants offer ideas about what to do, then come to a consensus on what will be done. The person who created the harm is responsible for repairing it.
